Devin Townsend - The Moth [audioCD]

Explore The Moth, Devin Townsend's most ambitious and deeply personal project to date. This immersive orchestral, choral, and theatrical work has been over a decade in the making, culminating in a fully orchestrated narrative collaboration with the North Netherlands Orchestra and Choir. Townsend meticulously rebuilt musical fundamentals—harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration—to score this emotionally driven piece.

Recorded across more than ten countries, The Moth features an extraordinary global cast, including long-time collaborators Darby Todd, Mike Keneally, James Leach, and guests like Steve Vai, Anneke Van Giersbergen & Lynn Wu (Ou). At its core, this album explores themes of transformation, self-acceptance, surrender, and the courage to face discomfort.
