Light Conductor - Sequence Three [CD]

Sequence Three is a CD by Montréal group Light Conductor, co-founded by Stephen Ramsay of Young Galaxy and Jace Lasek of The Besnard Lakes. It is the group’s first album in five years and the final instalment in its opening trilogy, which began with Sequence One in 2019.

The album’s longform, slow-burning tracks combine restored vintage synthesisers and analogue electronic equipment with sparse beats and languorous melodies. Its minimalist sound takes a darker turn, with queasy modulation, pink and brown noise, and a blend of transcendental ambience and eroded electronic textures.
