Description
Green Carnation bring their A Dark Poem trilogy to a close with this heavy metal album on vinyl. It’s for listeners drawn to progressive metal, with a 16-minute orchestral suite that brings themes from across the trilogy together.
The Norwegian band blend metal, rock and folk with intricate progressive passages, drawing on the story of Arthur Rimbaud’s Ophelia. The album completes a trilogy shaped by themes of technology, political power and social division.
Standout moments include the lead single “Unconditional Artificial Chemistry” and “Broken Souls, Common Enemies”. The finale features the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and Opera Choir.
