Soy-Braised Tofu

Pan-fry the tofu until all sides are golden brown in a heated oiled pan. This usually takes about 2-3 mins per side depending on the thickness of the tofu. Remove tofu from pan and set aside.
Oil the pan again and add garlic. Sauté for 1 minute before adding in the pan-fried tofu pieces. Pour water into the pan and when it starts to bubble, add Mak Tok's Sweet Soy Sauce.
Turn the heat to low and add cornstarch solution, chillies and spring onions. Give it a good stir and plate it.
Garnish with some sesame seeds and serve with warm fluffy rice.

3 cloves garlic (minced)
1.5 large chillies (sliced)
1/2 spring onion (sliced)
280g firm tofu (sliced)
1/2 bottle Mak Tok's Sweet Soy Sauce
cornstarch water (1 tbsp cornstarch + 3 tbsp water)
100ml water
1/8 tsp sesame seeds (garnish)
