Which discs play in my country?
Our films and TV come from the UK. Whether a disc plays depends on the disc format and on where your player was bought. Here's the short version.
The quick answer
- 4K Ultra HD discs play worldwide. 4K UHD Blu-rays have no region lock, so they work in any 4K Blu-ray player, in any country.
- "Region Free" in the title means it plays anywhere on that format (any Blu-ray player for a Blu-ray, any DVD player that accepts all regions for a DVD).
- UK Blu-rays are Region B unless marked Region Free. They play in Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and Africa.
- UK DVDs are Region 2 (PAL). They play across Europe, the UK and the Middle East.

Good to know
- Computers and games consoles are usually region-locked too: a US PlayStation or Xbox plays Region A Blu-rays and Region 1 DVDs.
- Multi-region (region-free) Blu-ray and DVD players are widely available and play everything we sell.
- Video games on disc or cartridge for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox play in any country. Download codes and gift cards are usually tied to the country of the account they're redeemed on, so check before buying one.
