Thunderpants (2002) - DVD Special Edition [DVD]

A children's comedy about a boy with unnatural flatulence, Thunderpants may not be the most thoughtful film in the world, but it does have surprisingly hidden depths. The story follows childhood outcast Patrick Smash and his sole friend, the boy genius Alan Allen, as they navigate school life and extraordinary challenges. Director Peter Hewitt brings a timeless, cartoon-style vision of England that blends 1950s-inspired aesthetics with modern technology, creating a whimsical world reminiscent of classic Disney live-action films. With bawdy humor perfect for older pre-teens and moments of genuine emotion, Thunderpants delivers an oddly uplifting message: the world might be better if run by children.
