This marks their first album under the full Dexys Midnight Runners name since 1985’s Don’t Stand Me Down, as Kevin Rowland reverted the name to ensure clarity for younger audiences familiar with hits like 'Geno' and 'Come On Eileen'. The album's central theme of love emerged as the songs progressed, encompassing different kinds of love beyond typical pop romance—focusing instead on emotional and all-encompassing moments that illustrate a lifetime's sweep of relationships and intimate emotion.

All tracks are drawn from Kevin Rowland’s life, each serving as an individual jewel threaded together with love. Songs begun three decades ago sit alongside those written recently. Listeners will find vivid depictions of Rowland's Irish immigrant childhood (as heard in ‘My Life in England Pt 1’), a moving letter to his grandchildren (‘You’re Alright’), and portraits of time spent with a dying parent (‘Once A Man, Twice A Child’). This is Kevin's ninth album, and Dexys' seventh.
