Spiritus Mortis - The Year Is One

Finland’s most ancient purveyors of Doom Metal, Spiritus Mortis, return with their fourth album, The Year Is One. Seven years after their previous offering, this album serves as a dark reflection of childhood occult fantasies, delivering a sound that is as heavy and evil as pure old school heavy metal allows. Crafted with the dedication characteristic of the Doom Metal genre, The Year Is One was years in the making, with its passion and concentration palpable in the music. The band’s roots in Dio-era Sabbath are evident, but they play with a heavy-handed yet melodic vigor. Albert Witchfinder’s vocals carry a newfound expressive joy, delivering tales of demon summoning and dark themes with an evil genius.

Key Features:

• Heavy and evil old school heavy metal sound.
• Features ex-Reverend Bizarre vocalist Albert Witchfinder.
• Rooted in Dio-era Sabbath sounds with a melodic vigor.
