Pig Data

Pig Data is a provocative poetry collection by Anne Vegter that orchestrates a mythic and historical collision between the South African poet Ingrid Jonker, the mythical witch Medea, and a poetic 'I' to interrogate the male gaze and the transformative potential of female rage. Vegter’s poems push language to its limits with a restless, dynamic energy, infused with humor and absurdist overtones. This collection fearlessly rebuffs traditional form, reveling in contradictions and moving between luminous tenderness and urgent, sometimes vulgar, expression.
