Green Carnation - A Dark Poem, Part III: The Messiah Complex

Green Carnation, the veteran prog bards, deliver an uncompromising conclusion to their epic album trilogy with A Dark Poem, Part III: The Messiah Complex. Building on the foundations laid by The Shores of Melancholia and Sanguis, this installment masterfully weaves together the narrative of Arthur Rimbaud's Ophelia with rich progressive rock elements. Fans and critics alike will find this the missing key to the ambitious 'A Dark Poem' saga.

The album delves into themes of collective anxiety surrounding technology, power-hungry leaders, and social division, surging to a head on tracks like the title track and 'Broken Souls, Common Enemies'. Expect intricate musical landscapes reminiscent of King Crimson's majesty and Opeth's spectral reverence, complete with maze-like rhythmic twists and turns. The lead single, 'Unconditional Artificial Chemistry', showcases a pitch-perfect chorus, while the album's finale features an orchestral suite that provides a fitting, albeit somber, conclusion in true Green Carnation fashion.

• The concluding chapter of Green Carnation's ambitious 'A Dark Poem' trilogy.
• Blends progressive rock with heavy metal, rock, and folk influences.
• Explores themes of technological anxiety, leadership, and societal division.
• Features intricate musicianship with nods to King Crimson and Opeth.

A Dark Poem, Part III: The Messiah Complex is a testament to Green Carnation's enduring challenge-seeking spirit and their command of epic, narrative-driven metal.
